Having looked at one just last week at Sam's Club I thought it was better designed than the POS Cannon next to it.
That being said I am not overly impressed by either frankly.
However I understand the budget constraints but before buying this at least price one of the import Amsec SF's.
At least they come with a quarter inch plate steel door.

I've got a SP23 on order that should be here in a week or two.  I'll let you know my thoughts on it when I get it setup.

Did you know the SF is not entirely an import? The safe is brought in as a welded steel box, then the interior, finishing and assembly is all done in our Fontana, California factory. Probably half of the labor in that safe line is domestic. It's only half Chinese, LOL.

Hi TSG,

I gotta ask.  Is it really that much cheaper to bring in those bodies on a container as opposed to forming & welding them here?

Actually, yes. Steel prices in China have been the same as in the US market, but as China increases it's mill capacity, they are now going lower than here in the US. Other factors are in play that makes this a good way to bring a quality product to market.

My Sporter was delivered today.

Even though this thread got hijacked, I'll post my thoughts when I get it setup.
