I need some clarification on the barrel length of this upper as your spec sheet on line states that it is a 10" barrel. Most suppressor companies do not warranty or recommend using barrels any shorter than 10.5". I am looking to purchase one for use on my suppressor but do not want to ruin my stamp collection so any info would be appreciated.

I believe the barrel is actually 10.5 inches, so you should be fine. I did a lot of research on suppressors for my SIG 516 CQB upper and I believe the Silencerco Saker 556 is about the best bang for your buck out there. The Saker has a warranty on barrels down to 7 inches on full auto. So, if you ever wanted to purchase the SIG 516 7 inch upper you're good to go on that too. Which suppressor do you have?

I already have the Gemtech Halo so I do not have to mess with getting a different brake.  Thanks for the input.  This sets my mind at ease.

Thanks for the reply.  Anyone else want to chime in?  Hopefully, some one from Sig.

Have you tried calling SIG?

That aside, mine was labeled 10.5 when I got it, and up until this point all the literature  said 10.5, and their 2014 catalog lists them as 10.5"

Don't get wrapped around the axle. I wouldn't feel uncomfortable using a 10.5" rated can on a 10.4" HK416, 10.3" DD MK18, or 10" SCAR CQC. I wouln't drop below 10" however.
