I'm not a fan of the golden anniversary logo on the StG77 - anyone been successful in removing it without damaging the finish on the stock?

Is it raised? If so then sand it. Perhaps wet with some oil. I dremmeled the hump off a nato stock for my a3, it wasn't hard.

If not then I'm not sure.
