I have an AUG with a 20 inch barrel.  I have always thought that the outside of the barrel was just tightly "finned" like a Thompson barrel....but I have heard the external finish referred to as threaded.

Is the outside of an AUG barrel threaded or finned?

If threaded.....does anyone know what the pitch is?

the external threading is for a bayonet lug, not sure of the size and pitch

Thank you, good Sir!!!!

You don't know the class call out do you?  ( 6g, 6h, etc.)  It is probably a 6g because the outside is oxide not a coating or plating....but it could be an odd call out.....

I will guess 6g.

I don't know that information. Your guess is as good as any.
