UPDATE 2:

I stopped the zombie apocalypse with two mags. Three body shots are needed to put them down, while a single head shot does the same.

Target: Zombie Apocalypse

Score: 77,754
Shots Fired: 97
Total Zombies Killed: 27
Total Head Shots: 8
Total Body Shots: 61
Overall Accuracy: 71.13%

Update:

I emailed the owner of a nearby LGS I shoot at, asking if they ever get PS90 rifles.

“Thanks for the inquiry.  We happened to receive one just a few days ago.  It is our first one in quite a while, so you have really good timing!”

Well, couldn’t resist, and based on google searches the 1379 price was acceptable. Higher than average but no waiting, and more importantly, no drama.

I also bought three FN 50rnd clipazines from Brownells

But, where do you get one?

I don't care about the trigger, other than perhaps making it smoother, so please don't get this thread locked lol

I do care about SBR'ing the thing.  Cut the barrel?  Or does one buy an aftermarket?  Which one?

Clipazines?  I saw some chatter about turning 30s into 50s.  ??

Thanks

Do it.  Lot's of fun.  I need to pick up a Mini 4 for mine as my current suppressor is a bit long.

I've clipped 30's to 50's, it's pretty easy.  You just need some tin snips or a hacksaw to cut the blocking plate down.

A local shop cut my barrel down and I provided the CMMG thread adapter.  I think CMMG sells barrels if you just want to form 1 it.

Send the barrel to Mark McWillis of TROS, when he does it the barrel is a virtual clone of the P90 barrel.

As to cutting 30 rounders to make them into 50 round mags, yep it’s easily done. There are several YouTube videos on how to do it.

STICK WITH FN FACTORY MAGAZINES!!!!

TROS is the way to go to have it cut down. Plus he will send you a 1/2x28 muzzle adapter. And why not just buy factory 50s?

One reason I bought a bunch of 30's was Midwest Gun Works ran a special on Factory FN PS90 30's, five for $49.95

At that price I can take the two minutes it takes to make them 50 rounders.

That's why I converted them as well.  It was cheap and they're factory FN mags.

Do it. The SBR PS90 is an awesome gun. You can send the barrel to TROS or Class III Machnining (forum vendor) to have it cut/threaded, or you can buy the CMMG barrel. Check out design machines or TROS for optic mounts (depending on what optic you want to run) which is much better than the stock pic rail. It will take some time but in the end it will be worth it.

Had my barrel chopped by Morgan @ Class III Machining, and pricing and turnaround can't be beat, had it back and installed within 10 days of sending it out.

With E-filing wait times being so short, the SBR route is a no brainer.

Also Design Machine mounts are a great option, I run a Holosun 507c on mine and the size and reticle are perfect IMO.
