Man that's a lot of acronyms.

I wonder when it will release.  I'll have to get this model for sure.

the trigger guard is about 70% why I never bought the Tavor, with a better forgrip area and a normal pistol grip and trigger guard I'd be very interested but the price??

I can build 2 nice AR rifles for that??

I'd jump at $1,200.00

Looks good, but I'll hold out for the factory SBR.

And guys, FYI MSRP on the regular Tavor SAR is already $1999, this price on the X95 is nothing new or higher.  Street price will end up being similar to the Tavor SAR, about $1,500-$1,700.

You'll likely be able to replace trigger guard, same with tavor sar.

You can build two ARs, but you still wouldn't have an X95

I've never seen a tavor under $1,800.00 in my neck of the woods and 1,749.00 on GB but all dealers charge more for transfers on guns they don't sell so back to $1,800.00

The sar has a factory oem replaceable trigger guard? I never knew that, I thought it only had the long bar to the grip. Maybe I'll find a deal on a used sar from someone wanting upgrade??

LGS here is $1699 for base model and I was quoted a price of $1599 from a competing LGS.

If it actually looks like the picture on that site I will probably end up owning one, however, I have a feeling that the one on that site is actually the SBR version isn't it?

ETA: It looks like the pictured rifle may be the 16.5" 5.56mm version in which case I want it!!

Great now I'm excited! This along with the mdr. If I can get one for the same price as my tavor $1535 (eventually) that would be sweet.

I prefer the looks of the TAR-21 "classic" model myself, but hey, more choices in the bullpup world is more betterer!

I hope it is lighter and has the shorter LOP (the biggest drawbacks to the SAR). I'm hoping something can be done about that recoil pad. Looks fatter than the original X95.

And yeah. This is a perfect SBR candidate. Wonder if it's worth it to buy it now and form 1 before 41P

So the photo looks like instead of having the regular SBR x95 body with just a longer barrel they made some changes... Looks like to keep it 26.1 OAL and 16.1 barrel length, they doubled the tri-rail handguard length and added a rubber butt pad about an inch thick... I'll wait and see but was really hoping for just an unmodified semi x95 factory SBR or just needing to chop the barrel.

Will the Gieselle trigger work on the X95?

IWI modified the original trigger pack on the Tavor to allow for commonality between models.  My bet is the X95 uses the same Trigger pack as the latest Tavors.

I actually like it.

I imagine a butt pad is an easy enough swap, should you want to SBR it.   Hopefully handguard options will follow.  But as it stands, I like the picture better than what I have previously seen of the existing x95.

Being 6' 6" tall I was hoping for a smaller version of the Tavor but still large enough that I could easily use it so this is a winner for me.  Also, not having to SBR it makes it a HUGE win as I have enough SBR's as is.

Does anyone know the OAL of the X95 w/ a 16.5" barrel vs say an AR-15 w/ a 11.5" barrel?

The 6933 is 28.3 inches with the stock collapsed. With a can mount and the stock out for use about 30".

I have a standard 16" Tavor rifle and a SBR AR-15 with a 12" barrel.   When standing side by side, the Tavor is about a 1/2" shorter than my SBR with the AR stock all the way collapsed..   If the X95 is smaller, it would only be shorter than that.

Good to know.  Thanks!

Basically, I just wanted to try out a bullpup but having it be the length of my SBR with a 16"+ barrel interests me.  Someday I will own one

The X95 can't be any shorter than the 16.5" Tavor, without a stamp of course. The Tavor is already like 1/4" over the legal minimum of 26".

Any info about the weight? After upgrading the trigger and bow, my only remaining complaint about my Tavor is that it's heavier than it needs to be.

Not a fan of the extended forearm and thick butt pad.  I think a pinned 14.5" (or whatever length this would take) barrel with the original X95 shorter frame would be the ticket for anyone not SBRing it

I doubt there will be any significant (if any) weight savings.  The weight quoted above at 6+ lbs was for the and older IDF version with 13" barrel.

I'm disappointed myself. Maybe I'm missing something. But IWI in Israel has a X-95. Called the X-95L. 16.5 inch barrel and normal X-95 body. It comes in at 670mm. Or 26.38 inches overall. I wish we had gotten that.

I know this is kind of far-fetched but wouldn't it be cool if they made the real X95 a semi auto pistol.  The design of the AR15 did not stop it from being a legal pistol so why should the tavor design stop it from being a pistol also?  Remove the butt stock pad and install a strap for a stabilizer brace.

Okay, so I got home and got to see some of the vids.. looks like aftermarket triggers will fit.. I wonder if the curved Manticore buttpad will fit too?
I like the integrated rails/covers, button mag release, overall slimmer profile, optional trigger guard, new charging handle location, and the MSRP will be the same as the current Tavors on the market.
I'm selling my SAR16 and switching over!!!
Quick comparison pic using IWI pics:

This X95 announcement is a big surprise to me.. on point IWI!!

Most likely the 26.38" length quoted includes the ~1.3" extra of the flash hider, which is NOT counted in the NFA-26" configuration (unless permanently attached).  So 26.38" - 1.3" + 1" thick butt pad = 26"

Aside from the fact that it doesn't look like an Israeli X95 service rifle, it's pretty sweet.

Another poster after me noted that the original weight a prior poster posted was for the Israeli service rifle which is significantly smaller, so there may be no weight difference at all. We'll just have to wait and see.
