I need a fairly nice sling to put on my AUG. I've been fairly interested in this style:

That thing blows chunks. I say get a nice Vickers two point.

And besides 'because you said so,' what benefits have you seen in the Vickers over the Urban?  We're assuming you've run both, then, and on an AUG or MSAR?
Still looking for an ideal sling setup, but your response with lack of any actual information of use posted wouldn't make me spend $ on the advice..

I can tell you on the Urban, that the wide webbing is very comfortable, and I do use both double and single point mode fairly often.

Honestly I'm very happy with the factory Steyr sling...just make sure to sling it butt up over and back of your right shoulder (if you're right handed). The front of the sling should loop under your left arm.

It's plenty big enough for a 2 point sling to be able to let it rest against your chest and then bring it up and still have slack, if that's what you're looking for.

Admittidly I have not taken any classes with this or done any manipulations under stress so I don't know if it can get in your way or not..

I don't really care for the sling setup in the picture. I have never run one because I think it blows chunks. What I do run is a Vickers two point on my AUG A3 which I am very happy with.
It attaches through the sling loops  which the AUG is designed for instead of a loop that runs around the stock in front of the magwell  that looks unstable. That sling also has no quick adjust.

The Urban does have a quick adjust, just slightly different than the VCAS.  
What's not so easy to confirm is the range of that adjustment vs other options.  No concerns in adjusting it for use as either a dedicated 2pt or 1pt sling, but to date, I haven't quite found a happy medium that lets me go between 2pt and 1pt mode, and ability to adjust to 'snug' in both modes.  Example: I've run a few classes and one or two 3 guns needing a sling, and prefer single point when I'm hands on, but it's pointless if you need to temporarily stow/secure and run.  I'd like a bit more adjustment in the quick adjust, but may yet find 'perfect' yet.  

You've also got other options for attachment, including through the sling pin if desired.  For a few $, I can move from the stock wrap to a through the sling pin stock mount, which I may give a try in the future.  I'd expect the rearward sling pin position to probably be mediocre for single point use, but fine for 2pt.

Oh well, YMMV.

That hook-up on the front sling would def cause some finish issues down the road.

Is the factory sling the black webbed one that has the bronze-colored clamp? I still have mine; but I have no idea how the hell to put it back on.

I also use the factory Steyr A3 sling and like it.

I will try to walk you through attaching the factory sling to your Steyr B2k4E:

1. Completely remove the clasp from the sling.
2. Feed the sling end through the Steyr's front sling.
3. feed the sling end through the other end of the sling's attached loop.
4. pull the sling tight on the Steyr's front sling loop.
5. Slide the clasp back onto the sling.
6. Feed the other end of the sling through the Steyr's back sling loop.
7. Now feed the same sling end through back through the clasp and snap the clasp down.

Factory sling is very heat resistant (does not melt).  Same for Vickers?

For some reason I remember it being more complex than that... Oh well, now I know.

ETA: Very nice blaster you've got there. I will be going to a similar setup with a 1-6 power variable scope, only mine will use a one piece mount. Using a Burris PEPR QD mount right now; but, would love a LaRue SPR or BOBRO mount in the future.

There is more to the sling than what he shows here but as I mentioned it is
simple and effective.

I like the material as well - no matter how much/long it hangs on my neck the sling
does not tear up my skin.

I just recently sold my Steyr AUG and got a SCAR. But, when I had it, I used an Urban ERT sling... But, not his standard AUG setup. I came up with my own mounting points.

I had an Urban ERT sling years ago, back when I had an MSAR STG AUG. Back then, many people discovered that using the front sling mount would get the sling caught up in the charging handle pretty easily. So, some of us would attach the forward mounting point to the side rail - and run the sling up under the gun - in between the trigger guard and the forward grip.

Now, the Steyr AUG doesn't have as long of a side rail as the MSAR AUG did. So, if I were to use that side rail, I would have to mount the sling further back. Also, with the Gearhead aftermarket charging handle I had installed on the Steyr AUG, I tended to lay the gun down on a flat surface on the side WITH the rail (right side). I didn't really wanna put the front attachment point for the sling there.

So, I ended up using a quick detach GG&G mount - with the rail portion on the optic rail. I rarely kept the sling on the gun. But when I did, this setup worked great. It may seem complicated, but when the gun is hanging on you by the sling, it works very well.

I had Urban ERT make me an 8" piece to attach to the sling. That gave me more than enough length to run it down and around the gun. I probably could have gone with 6", but I had ordered a 5" piece years ago on the MSAR, and it just barely worked. This time, I decided to give it a little more length.
