As per an article in the latest Combat and Survival out of the UK, (january)
The MOD have selected the ELCAN OS4x as the replacement for the SUSAT.

Along with a M1913 rail which gets clamped to the top of the reciever,
the rifle gets a simplified version of what was issued to SOPMOD
the ELCAN is like the 1-4x we get but fixed at 4x
dual ARMS throw levers lock it as on the others, and no BUIS on the scope.

Looks like they will keep the HK PIP'd L85A2 inservice a while longer......

Too bad.

To this day I can never understand how they got a AR-18 so wrong!

I mean, bushmaster did the same thing, bull pupped a AR-180, and it worked out OK.
