Get a third party mount from Larue or ARMS. The battery is on the right side, so that won't be in your way.

Go to the EE and offer to trade your M4S for an M4. That's what I did...

I had the same issue, but like the lower battery mount of the M4S, so I went to Larue and haven't looked back.
