Excuse me for my ignorance but................. are the current STG magazines the same as earlier ones?  I know the 4th Gen STG can use Steyr AUG mags.  Will the STG mags work in a AUG?

Yes, MSAR STG-556 magazines have been able to fit into Steyr AUG stocks since day one (just not the NATO stocks since they take AR magazines).

The change has come in that now the GEN 4's and new GEN 5's can accept Steyr made magazines whereas previous generations would not.

Just FYI the best prices on MSAR magazines I have found have been through Cals Sporting Armory and the best prices on AUG magazines I have found have been through PJ Investments. Good hunting.
