With a little tuning your measure will measure Bullseye + or - .1 gr. Then use good technique and you are there. No the paste wax has no effect on the powder. |

Do you have the small bore cylinder? The large one does not do well with small charges of shotgun/pistol flake powder. It's just too big in diameter and too shallow (with a lite charge) to cut cleanly and accurately.

Bullseye should meter well. It's great in all my measures. Tune or polish.

I guess I have a large type. I figured bullseye would work because it looks similar to 231 and WSF
and they meter great. Funny thing also, Unique meters pretty good. |

If you are throwing handgun charges (with a fast powder like Bullseye you would almost have to be), like the guy said, you need the small cylinder.
I bought a baffle to go with my Uniflow and it made a difference in consistency. Yes to practicing a consistent technique, and tapping the measure to settle the powder periodically. |

I never had any luck throwing Bullseye or Unique when charges were in the single digits with the large cylinder.
I'm typically throwing between 4 and 7 grains. My Uniflow came with both cylinders so I never messed with trying to get the large to do better. If you can buy the small cylinder. Mine is in my Uniflow over 90% of the time. The small cylinder will do up to .308 Win and a little larger capacity casings. Motor |

Old school Lyman. I think it's the #55
Yup checked it on Midway- Yikes $89 . It's been a long time since I bought mine . Still works well but truthfully most all my handgun loads are done on my Dillon Square deal which also works quite well |

A Uniflow with the large drum almost works for small Bullseye charges. It works fine with the small drum.
However, I second the nomination of the Lyman #55 for small charge weights, it's plainly superior to a Uniflow. My first Uniflow came from a RCBS kit and did not include the small drum. I didn't know about the other drum until I bought my Pro 2000 press. |

Didn't know there was a large and a small when I purchased mine.
Midway lists them both. Looks like I need another measure for light loads. |

You don't have to get a whole new powder measure. You can just get the small metering drum. I recently did the same. Years and years ago I bought a used Uniflow off eBay. Recently tried a new powder and was getting very inconsistent throws. Found out mine had the large metering drum. Bought the small drum and all is good now. |

Gotta have the small/pistol rotor. Somewhere around 3.0gr my large rotor Uniflo must be mostly flush it will hit and bind, does fair but not great above that.
Hornady with small rotor works very good, Uniflo should be almost identical. Lee Auto-Disc served well, if the cavity matched what I wanted to drop. |

I have two Uniflows.
One large drum, one mall drum. Each with the matching size micrometer head. Changing the drum ruins the zero of the micrometer head. I prefer to be able to dial a load back up without futzing around. Find the load in the log book, double check it in data books. Set the micrometer. Toss a few and check each. Then toss 10 loads a couple times and check the ten. All you have to do is move the decimal point. Write the setting down in the load log again. You can make very serviceable baffles from any aluminum beverage can. Patterns are out there for the looking. |

Bullseye works great through my uniflow. I have 2 rotors, I use the small one for pistol powders.

I use the Lee Auto powder measure. I custom cut the cavities for s given charge. I've probably loaded 200,000 rounds of 45ACP and 38 Specials in the past 40 plus years. Every time I check the weights they are dead on.

While you've at it it doesn't hurt to have a couple different sized powder baffles for your rcbs. A link to a download that has templates for all the popular powder throws like rcbs & hornady, dillon, etc.

These days all my Bullseye goes through the Dillon 550 measure with the small charge bar, excellent metering. Back when I did use the Uniflow, I used the small charge cylinder, worked ok.

24+ years using the RCBS large drum. Never an issue with Bullseye or Unique. I did put the baffle inside the powder hopper which helps.
