HP-38/Winchester 231 is my favorite for Mid-Power 124 gr.

I have read that ZIP is the same, but I don't know. I'm using ZIP on account of that's what there was at the time, seems ok.

4.2 gr of Unique is really good with 125 - 130 gr lead. Mild and accurate

True Blue is a great powder in 9mm for cast, plated, and jacketed bullets.
As to where to find, you are in luck. There is a tacked thread at the top of the page to ask where to find powder. Please keep these questions out of your thread.

Another recommendation for True Blue and or Silhouette.
Granted this pic is 45's but TB has replaced Titegroup as my go to powder.

I'll have to try the True Blue nice to see I can use it for my 45acp lead also. Now just have to find it.

Unique is what I'm using for all 9mm currently including cast. Running a lil low, might try and find some W231 to try out at a fun show in a couple weeks.
You are going to find all cast lead to be a lil smokey regardless of powder, some are just worse than others. |

I prefer W231 in 9mm, Power Pistol is another good 9mm powder.
But, neither of those two are available anywhere that I know of. Unique is available and works just fine in 9. |
