Walnut to clean; corn cob to polish.
Or stainless to clean and polish. |

Corn cob does both just fine, walnut will do both as well it just doesn't put the shine on the brass that corn cob does. Add Nu Finish car polish to either to get more shine.

I gave up on walnut, the pet litter stuff is just too dusty for my liking. I just use treated corn cob now.

Wet tumbling to me is a huge PITA. Hell, I don't even use my 6.5L untrasonic cleaner for brass because just the feat of drying the brass after it gets wet is too big of an undertaking to me. Dry tumble, sift, done, it doesn't get any easier than that. |
