Picked up 1k Match LPM and 1k Regular LPM Federal primers from Sportsmans Warehouse a couple days ago to feed my 500 JRH. Trying to save what I have left of CCI 350's for the 458 socom since there is less of a worry of slam fire with those. Got a sewing light for the American 8 as well. Fortunately I had some spare shims and it now has zero play. Turns out I only needed to take off .002-.003, not .007 Beta testing a new tray too. Not the prettiest (not my machining), but functional and I already have a couple of ideas for improvement. |

Received my Hornady LNL PM case activated powder drop for my PM I am dedicating to rifle loads and got it assembled. Also changed all the RCBS lock rings to the Hornady lock rings on my dies and added bushings to all of them since I converted the Rockchucker over to the LNL bushings. I also decided to take advantage of RCBS's rebate and ordered 3 new sets of dies to replace some that were getting tired or not RCBS. Waiting on Graf's to get me the 40lbs of powder I ordered.... No sign of it shipping and it has been 10 business days..... Damn 'rona.

working on loading the last of my hornady 115gn HAP bullets. I like these a lot because there is very little exposed lead. Unfortunately they've been out of stock for a bit now.

Bought 3k of some winchester SP primers locally. I cant believe how hard primers are to find online. Thank god for the local plugs.

Sanded down the reloading bench and tested out the sensitivity of the AT V3 with the press there by it being operated. only jumped 0.04gr on the strokes but I'm thinking that's enough to throw it off. I bought 16" x 16" slate tiles (over 50lbs worth) to isolate it from vibration a bit. I know in labs they use granite slabs to help stabilize balances, so maybe it will work for me. If not I'll take them back.

Moved a fired 9mm bullet from the "found in the back yard" area of my brass to the lead pot. Haven't loaded much lately, been too busy on the river fishing. |

Wet tumbled 500 "spent" M200 blanks from Potomac Brass and placed in oven at 350F to dry (some of the crimped necks were too tight still to get all the water out for use in my dehydrator)... discovered about 1% of these were LIVE BLANKS. Needless to say, my wife was not pleased when 5 of them cooked off.
Sent a warning email to Potomac to update their website with a safety notice. Sorted the remaining 500 and counted 5 additional live blanks. Now I get to clean the oven and air out the house. If any of you bought these, you should hand sort before attempting to wet tumble/force dry. Still a good deal @ $35/k shipped. Just be careful! Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I usually only dry mine at about 220 degrees because that is the point at which water boils. I am considering pulling my reloading bench apart and using "cheaper" lumber than the beetle kill pine I put in there. Maybe I will make something nice out of them and just throw down some cheaper pine boards for my bench. |

Getting 550 set up to load .40 for the weekend. A good day in the loading room. |

Still need to put a lot of stuff on them yet. Also have a lot of organizing to do on the bench. Haven’t reloaded a single thing since February due to moving so really looking forward to getting this finished. ETA: Don’t mind the clutter; it won’t always be like that. Attached File |

Received my 6.5mm RCBS Tri cutter head from Midway. Trimmed some 6.5x55 Brass.
Loaded some .35 Whelen with 158 gr .357 bullets. Discovered the .358 Hornady seater stem slightly deforms the soft point bullets. I called Hornady and placed an order for two extra seating stems. I plan to modify one so it will work on soft, flat point bullets. And one extra in case I mess it up |

Shot about 250 rounds of 9mm to get some training in. Noticed my 1911 was not ejecting the last round in the magazine, I thought it may be my reloads.
So, I disassembled the magazines and adjusted them, and boom, back in business. Then, realizing that I am down below 500 loaded rounds, I decided to change the 550 over to 9mm and get to cranking. Got about 350 done. Leaving the press set up for tomorrow. |

Also received part of my Dillon order (9mm dies, scale, bullet tray, strong mount, primer tubes, flip tray). I received a shipping confirmation yesterday about the xl750 itself. Not sure how it shipped so fast being I was quoted 8 weeks, and the dies are still listed out of stock. Just waiting on the case feeder, and a few odds and ends now. |

Sat down over lunch and started sorting a box of 223 brass I picked up from a local public range in the ~2010 time frame.
Noticed something interesting. There is a lot of Remington commercial brass in the mix. I have seen very little Rem 223 brass on the ground of late. Just a changing of the times. |

Almost wasted some money. Was looking around on my bench and in my drawers. Didn't see a 1050 conversion for 9mm. I couldn't remember if I used my brother in laws 1050 and conversion to run my last batch or what. So I didn't think I had one. So started looking for one. Turns out everybody is out of stock. Started looking for alternatives. Referred back to the 1050 manual conversion page. Turns out the 1050 9mm conversion and the 1050 38 Super conversion are identical. So why different part #'s?
Anyway, found a 38 Super conversion in stock at Double Alpha. Had it in the cart and decided to check once more. Found my conversion in another drawer, because my usual drawer was full. Well, that saved me $140, so looks like instead there will be a 9mm Bullet Feeder conversion in my near future. Took the time to set up the 9mm conversion on a spare tool head. |
