I have spoken with Dryflash,AeroE and have the approval of Stryker to start something that could be pretty cool if it works as it should.Hopefully it will last longer than the "Pay it forward thread"
Im starting an "Arfcom Case of Cases" . You may have seen something similar on other websites. Heres how it works. I am throwing some extra stuff I have into a box, and I will send it on my dime to the first person who says I'll take it. When that person gets it, they take what they want and add some things before sending it off to the next person. Here are the rules (Per mods) - To receive the box, you must be a team member - If you cant send the box to the next member in a timely fashion, do not ask for it - Do not take anything from the box unless you have something to put into it (Must be reloading specific items) - Keep post in this thread. When you get the box, post what you are taking and what you added.Post that it's ready to go and then check with the next person on the list to see if they are prepared for the box -Do not whine about not getting it first etc or this will die like the pay it forward thread Next is directly from AeroE - If you fail to ship the box to the next person, your account will be locked is in danger. < I want to make clear that locking the account was one of the ideas proposed; it's not certain, but it is a good way to bet. AeroE > Now that thats done, on to the fun stuff The box now contains: - (1) 1lb Clip on wheel weight Lead ingot for casting - (20) 147gr 9mm Plated Flat nose bullets from Jake at RMR - (Approx 50) 5.56 LC cases, once fired by me (not cleaned) - (1) container of Lee resizing lube List of interested parties - hickunit ––––Currently posseses - John87 - Shiftyk5 - Reload_em - dnmccoy - bkirkwood - Multi-G PM me to be added to the list Lets try it like this. Whoever has the box can check with the first person on the list to make sure they are prepared and able to add to the box and ship it out. If not move on to the next person. Do it by PM's as to not mess up the mix. All I ask is to be pm'd to let me know who is getting the box next so I can keep track. If that doesnt work we will go back to whoever is first to post after its posted |
|
I'm in also. Have lots of goodies that would be of value to someone. Great idea.

BadLuther has first dibs. Will be in the mail. Please hold off on requests until he posts that it's ready to go

Count me in; I have some things that someone will find worthy Not eligible, read the first post. Would love to play along but also not a team member. Have fun with this one, should be good. |

I wanna leave it open to all team members instead of making a list and trying to stick with it. It'll get around to everyone in due time

This is your show but I think a simple list would give this thread some structure. Without one its got the possibility of becoming a shit show really quick. |
|
Seems like the person that last recieved the package will be resposible for picking the next person to receive it. Who ever the shipper was should have posted what they put in the box and what they have taken out ( and in that order too) It should also always be sent with a delivery conformation each and every time.
Just my $.02 |
|
Read my comment in the first post.
It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway; don't add stuff classified as hazardous material, i.e., primers and gunpowder. |
|
Reefraider hit it dead on. When it gets to Badluther he will post here something like:
I got the box,it contained A B C D I took C and added E. Box now contains: A B D E Now who wants it? Whichever team member posts will get it and continue it on. That's how it is done elsewhere and it works well |
|
Quoted: In the mail today! So if I'm following along correctly, box went to BadLuther? |

Just a caution. There are other restrictions besides the obvious with USPS flat rate boxes. The Lee lube may be one of them.
It's best to go on their web site and read what they are. Great idea BTW, I hope to be able to participate some time soon. I have about 30 years worth of stuff to choose from. |

I wanted it to be team members only because this site has helped me in so many ways, I would like to see others join to help as well |

Stop the Presses! We need a bigger box! OP do you plan on keeping a running count of who is next in line in the OP?

OP do you plan on keeping a running count of who is next in line in the OP? Covered earlier in the thread. There will be no list. Each time a new member receives the box, he/she will take what they wand and add what they want. They will then return to this thread, post what was in it when they got it, what they took out, what they added, and a new full inventory list. They will announce it's ready to ship and the next person to say they want it will get it shipped to them. OP, you should consider adding this to the first post. |

Hows this coming? I have it, it's headed to hickunit next. I took the dillon primer tube, and added a bag of 45 small primer brass, a 10x pocket loupe, a pair of calipers and possibly some other goodies, depending on what I can dig up tonight. I'll add the list to this post, since I'm saving 3006 for something special :D ETA I will post pics tomorrow |

No one is posting pics? Yes we must have pics. I dont know how i missed this thread. Great Idea OP! Good on the MODS for letting it happen. |

My apologies for the delay and lack of picture - my car died on me the other day, and things have been a total mess. In any case, what actually got added to the box was a ziploc full of small-primer 45 brass, a 10x pocket loupe and an RCBS Swage Die (the discontinued one) in a box labeled 'bullet puller'. ETA: To restate my previous post, this is now enroute to hickunit.

I didn't even have the box before the next person in line (hickunit) IM'd me. See my previous posts regarding the rest of your concerns. In all honesty, I think this will be massively easier to organize if a running list is kept in OP, but that would require OP to remain apprised of what's going on in his thread pretty much constantly, or to work to keep his inbox from filling up. |

I'm up for it....will edit op asap to ad list
Eta: it's done.pm me to be added to list |

Glad you have a list now.
You can take me off the list. I'm just keeping an eye on the thread.
