I went to the Hodgdon reloading data website and there isn't any reloading data for a 150 grain bullet for a .300 AAC Blackout round.

Can someone fill in the blanks as to:

What CCI primer to use with a .300 AAC Blackout round when building a bullet with a 150 grain boat tail round with H110 powder CCI 400 or CCI 450.

The range of the number of grains of H110 to load into a .300 AAC Blackout case for a 150 grain boat tail round ______minimum grains to ______maximim grains

Overall round length of a .300 AAC Blackout round with a 150 grain boat tail jacketed round_______.____"

Any other pertinent data to sucessuly reload a 150 grain boat tail round into a .300 AAC Blackout with H110 powder.

Dont take it for gospel, its just what a buddy and I did. FWIW we had a primer pop at 17.4gr. Rounds cycled great at 16.8-17 though.

From my post in another 300 blk thread;

I used some H-110 in work up loads for super sonic 150 gr SP loads.

Too hot for my rifle.

The loads with AA-1680 filled the case completely and was compressed heavily. Shot ok.

The loads with Lil 'Gun were more accurate in my rifle and I will load these again. Loads were not compressed.

For published data Sierra 5 has 300 Whisper data. Work up carefully.

Those cases were from H-110, 15.5 grs with a Hornady spire point.

Last one I fired popped the primer as you can see.

Work up carefully.

This being said is H110 not a good choice for .300blk or if you did it again would you just drop your charge level lower than 15.5?

Im experimenting with different charges of h110 but i keep hearing its one of the few powders that can make things go sour if you under charge as well as over charge. Hey did your h110 130grain loads still show bcg markings from the bolt face on the case?

THANKS for the feedback!

I orderd 100 of the 150 grain boat tail bullets from Midway USA this afternoon.

I'm as itchy as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs to sight my Blackout in!  LOL!

I’ve loaded the sierra 110 with H110 up to 21gr. Summer temps 105+. Had a primer pop out 1 of the 5. 20.7 seems optimal. I held a 2 inch moa at 50 yards with iron sights.

I’ll be testing over the weekend. I loaded 147 pulls with 17.4 gr. of h110.

Also bought some AA1680 for 220 subs. I’ll check in Monday to see how they shot.
