Yep, sure have and there's plenty of data around for it. Both Hornady and Sierra are heavy on ReLoder 15 data. Alliant should have data on their websites.

Lots with heavier weight bullets. Great accuracy with Hornady 75's.
Great powder for 223, but I don't usually hear people using it with lighter bullets. Lee manual has charge weights for 55's, but I don't have it handy. |

Stuff is great and super accurate with heavier grain match bullets. Good luck and congrats on getting it for free! Wish I knew some peeps that would give me some free stuff!

I know there is data for the heavier bullets but I haven't seen much for 55grs.
I suspect it burns too slow for the lighter bullets. Maybe I will save it all for my .308 since I don't really reload anything other than 55 gr ,223. |

It works VERY well from 52g & up. Personally I use it for heavier 68g & higher. I find it doesn't meter so great, so I charge light & trickle up. I believe (check the data) Aero has a load of 27.5g with 52g SMK's that he he swears by... (others including DryFlash concur it is VERY accurate) I've not used it myself (I prefer H335 for those) because I find it difficult to meter, and I load ALOT of 52g SMK's. |

I use 25gr with 55gr FMJ. Shoots well enough for me and I get great groups. No chrono data but it does equally well from my 16's ad 10.5's.

Yep, it's a go to powder for service rifle, right up there with Varget. mainly for 69, 75, and 77 grainers.

Its great for middle and heavy weight .223. I use it with a 68 grain HPBT. 25.0 grains of RE15 in mixed mil/commercial brass gives me about 2700 FPS from a 14.5 inch barrel.
Devestating on deer, leaves a quarter sized exit hole and a great blood trail. Very accurate too, fist sized groups at 200 yards with my ACOG. |

I have about 1.5K of 68 grain HPBT and a new inbound Colt 6933(11.5" Barrel). Do you think my short 11.5" barrel will be too short for your RL-15 recipe? I shoot at New Holland Gun Club in Lancaster CO. PA and they have ranges that extend out to 600 yards. I am looking for a good load to shoot out to at least 400 yards using my 6933 with a USMC M4 ACOG on it. I will try it and document. I will also try your recipe with my Colt M16 that has a 20" barrel A3 upper. Dane |

I use 24.8 under 69gr SMK's This is another pretty much standard load for this bullet; 24.8 to 25.2 grains of Reloder 15, Rem 7 1/2 primers, Winchester cases, Sierra 69 grain MK's, loaded to 2.26 COAL. Just about every AR will shoot this load well. Reloder is simply an outstanding gunpowder for 52 to 80 grain bullets in .223 Rem. It's a little slow for the 52 grain bullets, hence the full to the case neck charges, but they shoot really, really well. |
