Is it just me, or do .223 bullets just not exist with ballistic coefficients over about .265 until you go over about 70 grain bullet weight?  Im not saying that weight is the factor itself, but the lighter bullets are typically shorter which is probably the culprit behind the BC being in the 0.2X range

For example, using info on midwayusa's website
(a) nosler 60 ballistic tip, BC = 0.270
(b) sierra matchking 168 bthp, BC = 0.462

Now that Ive said that, I think for 500-600 yard shooting that im wanting to do, the 75gr is looking like the ticket.

All of the 80 grain .224" bullets are in the .400's regarding B.C. Most rifles can't shoot the 90's which are even higher. These bullets have changed the face of high power tournaments. Twenty years ago the AR-15 was at a distinct disadvantage @ the 600 yard line. Not any more. Enjoy the flight.
