Did a search and didn’t find anything. If you can point me it will be appricated.
Going to start reloading .223 and I have some of each bullet on the way. Is there a powder that will work well for both. Some of the bullets are pulled and some are new but I’m not sure that makes a difference. Edit OK work well is a general statement. Not looking to replicate mil ammo. Just looking for general plinking ammo. Not even sure about using the M855. I have never had any so I got a little to play with. most of the order is pulled M193. |

Some people like H-335 for 55-62gr bullets, but I get better accuracy from Varget with most all loads and also like Benchmark which is my new powder for 55 & 60gr bullets giving a one hole 5-shot group at 50 yrd's.

So any powder that's runs well on one will likely run well on the other. There's lot of options for those bullets. If you want 5.56 velocity ammo, find a temperature stabile powder. I use 748 for those loads, but I load below max, so I can get away with 748's temp instability. |

I'd recommend TAC or Varget. TAC is a whole lot easier to meter.

h335 55gr tac for the 62gr man that tac powder meters great .real constant drops

I run h335 in the 55gr and tac in the 62gr start low 1st ck LOAD DATA oops sorry mods was in a hurry

I would suggest a ball powder for both. Easy to load and measure.
In the order of my preference, Tac, BLC2, AA-2230, H-335, and W-748. Pulled bullets, even with pull marks will shoot fine. |

I like Benchmark best for 55-60gr bullets(meters great as well), at least I get best accuracy with it followed by Varget.
