What size shell holder do I need to fit the 6.8 spc?  My buddy has a fairly large assortment but none of them fit.

Look on the box that the dies are in.  It should say it on there.
My RCBS says #19.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have RCBS dies on order.  Will stop by Cabelas (probably on backorder like everything else) and pick up the #19.

6.8 SPC Shellplate

RCBS # 27*
LYMAN # 15
HORNADY # 10
REDDING # 5

*I don't think its #19 for RCBS. Call them and tell them you need a plate for 10mm or 6.8 SPC, Hornady's book says its #15 and Lyman's book says its #27.

Yeah but RCBS ( check their website) says its #19, the box I have says it is a #19, and I say it is a #19 from checking it myself and making sure that a 6.8 cartridge fits in it.  Sorry man, your books are not right. The #27 that it is showing might be the for the case trimmer pilot as 6.8 is .277 caliber and thats the number that RCBS shows for it.????
