I received a thousand of these and am wondering what 10mm fired them, the long thin lines are something I have never seen.

Looks like HK fluting. My guess is a MP10.

That's what I was gonna say.
I don't know the innards of the MP5/10 that intimately, but I do know it's not all that different from the G3 type of system, delayed blowback/roller locking and all. And the G3 clone I had made those exact same kinda marks due to the fluted chamber. |

Definately HK 10mm MP5. Any FBI agents training where you picked that up?

I got 1k online so I don't know the origin. There were some with crimped primers and several split cases for being once fired so I thought maybe a loose chambered full auto of some sort.
I didn't think 10mm was still used by government agencies, but I'm not really in that "loop" so I wouldn't have a clue. Maybe it's Ted Nugents' old brass, he was bragging about getting an MP5 in 10mm a while back. Those lines sure don't come off easy, they have about 8 hours in the tumbler now and many of the lines are still there. |

And keep a close eye out for split cases AFTER sizing as well.
I got some of those from GunBroker, tossed about 20 for splits and another 40 for small primers before sizing. Found another dozen with splits when putting them through the case gage. |
