Sounds like a good load. I use a similar load with a 55gr BTHP Gameking and the 450 primers with 25gr of H335. < 1" at 200 yards is typical in my 20" bbl flattop AR, 1 in 9 twist.
No signs of pressure. I have found that magnum primers seem to work better in 223 when loading with ball powder myself. Some loads may work fine with standard primers but at some point I quit trying. |

It will work fine. I've been using 25 grains of H335 for 20 years now.

From my experience that should not be a problem, but I get better results with ball powders such as H335 and W748 using wsr primers. They are not a mag primer, but seem to be hotter than the cci 400. |

I use Remington 7 1/2 BR primers with H-335. I picked up some accuracy over WSRs. Never tried CCI because the Rems are terrific.
You can go up to 26.0 grains as a working load with your 55-gr bullet (velocities in the mid 2900s from a 16"), so your loads are fairly mild. Function should be fine. |

You should be fine...my plinking load is 25.2 gr of H335 pushing a bulk 62 gr bullet...I exits my barrel at 3000fps...20" barrel |

Sounds good folks. From the looks of it I should have some good plinking ammo made! I'll report back once I get a chance to let 'em run through my RRA.

I use Remington 7 1/2"s with H335. In a Colt 20" 1/7 with outside temps at 90 degrees I get approx. 3170fps in RP brass and 3200 in WCC brass using 25.3 grains of H335 and Hornady 55fmj's at 2.220"oal. I'd consider this load to be very near maximum in my rifle but it also does not show any high pressure signs. For M855 62fmj loads with H335, 24.6 grains of H335 gives about 3035fps which also should be a near maximum safe loading. 24 grains with Hornady 55fmj's get almost 3000fps with 24.5 showing approx. 3075fps.

I like CCI #41 primers using H335, I load the charge weight on the bottle 25.3 W/55g Fmj

I have an H335 and 40 grain VMAX load for my 24" varmint rifle using WSR primers. It is a max load for my rifle and FAST. VERY explosive with the little 40 VMAX.
I use H335 for a lot of my 55 FMJ plinking stuff. |
