I'm not all that into optical sights, whether scopes or red-dots, but I would like to have the option to mount either one on my GSG StG-44...
Who makes a mount that will adapt??? Here's a close-up of the StG-44 rear sight showing some kind of 'rail'...

It's a STANAG claw mount.
The one I have is from UTG, box says # HK02 Gen 2 Steel, model MNT-HK02. All steel,very solid mount. Bought a cheap STANAG scope to go with it. Fits the STG-44 like a glove but on my GSG-5, it's so tight I can't lock it in position. I hear that in order to zero the rifle at 50 yds you have to set the open sights to 800 meters, hoping the scope will save me from that. |

Hmmmmm...I was actually thinking of a mount that attached beneath the rear sight...
How did the Vampir infra-red sight mount on the real StG-44??? Here's a site with a scope mount under the rear sight - http://claus.espeholt.dk/mp44.htm

My friend just bought a Stg 44, she thinks its the coolest gun....... yours looks beautiful! Mount looks like it fits perfect!
