See the thing that looks liek brass knuckles under his arm? If the picture where larger or if you could get your hands on the magazine you would see its a brass knuckle/knife thingy and that there is a sheath under his armpit. WHat is that?

It's illegal to even sell one of those in VA, class IV misdemeanor to be exact.

Yep, illegal in CA too, but no surprise there.

It's illegal in most states due to the brass knuckle aspect. Most states outlawed them in the twenties.

Not to be a dick, but it is not a 1917 or 1918 trench knife.

The knife is a United Cultery model UC784-BT Sentry. Not really a good knife but cheap enough for your average grunt. ($8-$15)

Other things to think about is they are a hassle to use if you're wearing gloves.  As a design, the old WWI version was pretty weak where the blade meets the grip.  The tang is pretty thin in there.  some previous models of "trench knives" used a triangular blade, because the wound would not seal easily, and the "knuckle duster" part was more of a hilt-guard like a sword would have that extended down to the back-end.  It didn't have individual finger holes, but you could use it with thick gloves (a good thing in Europe OR Afghanistan) Colt used one on the cover of their catalouge one year.  I think in the early eighties.  It was one mean ass knife that looked "all business".

Ive seen both of those knives for sale in an Illinois army surplus store.  The WWI trench knife was $30 and the United Cutlery was like $20 or $25...can some one tell me if they are legal in Oregon??
