Busse makes Damn fine knives, ones that you can rely on for many years.

Might I also suggest a Fallkniven? I don't own one (yet), but they're highly regarded from what I've read.

Sniper1, I have quite a few of the Busse knives.  

Bought my first with the "only one knife" philosopy.  Fell in love with it, a straight handled Steel Heart II.  Takes a lickin man.  

Used it when I built my deck as a chisel on pressure-treat wood.  Still shaves.  Great for field too.  Usedat my brothers property and cut the heck out of 2-3" trees, still sharp.

I bought numerous others because I have found that the knives are tough, and they have the best warranty, and I have found the owner to be 100% cool about his products.

I know your post is dated, but did you end up getting one??

No ,I haven't bought one yet. Son's college bills come first. Then I holed the sidewall of a BFG M/T on my Superduty ! Damn Barrel Cactus !!!! Anyhow because of the wear on the tires I had to but an axle set to get correct diameters to match and there went another $300.00. And all that is after I gave my son a Sig P-220 two tone in 45 for his 21st Birthday. Boy ,I wish money really grew on trees !!!

But I/m glad you answered this post. I can't decide between a Steel Heart (7 1/2") or a Natural Outlaw in 6" blade lengths. Recommendations are encouraged and welcomed !!

I've had quite a few Busse knives. They are just about as indestructable as knives get.

The only reason I've ever sold one is because it was a "safe queen" and wasn't being used as it should.

I personnally wouldn't bother buying another brand of fixed blade knife.

Gabriel, ya never know where the heck I'm gonna be.  Do you have another name on BF?  Yes, I'll have a table at INDY in January.

Sniper1az, personally I like, no, I love my Steel Heart.  It is the older straight-handled version, and THE knife I will NEVER part with.  

In the E-handled models, I like the Natural Outlaw.  It still provides enough mass for chopping, while a great balance (IMHO) when choked up on for more "delicate" jobs.

Do any dealers in your area have either that you can check out??

No , I can't find a single dealer in the metro Phoenix area who carries Busse products. Hell, I'd take a road trip to Prescott, Flagstaff or Tucson just to go see one. Just have to wait & see what comes along.
