been checking Amazon, Kershaw's, Smith and Wessons.

Nothing expensive because this is a knife that will be carelessly abused. and used for things not meant for it.

<shamelessly reporduced from a previous thread> Check local laws regarding allowable blade length before you make a choice...  I am fond of the Tenacious family...  priced around $30 (Amazon), the entire family is a great value.  The members of the family are (from smallest to largest) the Ambitious, Persistence, Tenacious, and Resilience... their blade lengths are 2.25", 2.75", 3.4" , and 4.25" respectively.  They all have a smooth action, liner lock locking mechanism  (right handed), a lanyard hole, nicely textured G10 scales, flow through design, 4 position pocket clip, and come shaving sharp out of the box.  (Below is a photo of a Tenacious)
