automatically wait one year at minimum to decide.

You'll end up selling all your gear/junk, then you'll be much better a year from now and you'll have regrets.

get well soon dammit.

It took two years of physical therapy with no surgery for me to get back to 100%.

Do not give up.  Do the therapy and you will heal.  Don't sell the stuff.

Well, as a guy wo played hockey I consider ice skating as second nature.

However, I once tried roller blading and if ice skatting is that hard for newbies there is NO WAY yo should done that

Get well.

Had shoulder surgery about 6 years ago.  Took about 3 years before I could put more than 5 shots downrange.  Didn't sell my stuff.  Was tempted as I didn't think it would ever be to where I could shoot again.  Everybody said give it one year.  Took a bit longer.
I didn't push it, as I have seen others that did push it and had to go back under the knife.
Don't give up.

Its not as hard to shoot ambidextrously as most people think. Its not like throwing a ball or swinging a golf club.

Damn, hope you you get better man....

Just use a good pedestal mount, I'm going to get one mounted on my truck one day.

I'm sure you can mod this for a AR50.

I agree with the others to give it some time and just stay positive.

A few months ago I damaged my left rotator cuff in a motorcycle accident.  I was literally back on the bike right after it happened...even made it to work on time...however, it took a couple weeks before I could put my arm over my head and a couple more before I could handle more than a couple pounds of weight.  Just a few days ago I went shooting pistols offhand unsupported, fired my shotgun, and even took a couple shots from the .50 offhand.  Granted, I was very sore for a few days afterward, but it was worth it.

Hang in there.

Slug-O, very sorry to hear about your shoulder, we still haven't gotten out to Bradford yet with our 50's, I know we both have been busy as heck, but I'll call ya and you can watch me fire the 50, not quite as much fun, but what the heck we'll let you stand in the muzzle blast for fun, LOL. Hang in there, you'll heal quicker than you think and be out firing your AR50 before you know it.

Don't touch your shoulder to the butt.  It doesn't kick enough that with a good rest, you can shoot it freestyle.

Dang Slug-o, did you already put it up for sale? I sorry to hear about the injury, but like the guys say. Just give it some time to heal. Besides if you hold on to it for a bit longer, you might find that the price double if our new potus decides to so something stupid.

My father in law shoots with me, he has had 2 shoulder replacements. After 3 years he was able to shoot agian on a tri-pod I mount to a weighted table. I'm with the others who said keep your gear and wait. There are ways to be able to shoot again.

+1 on the rest.  Build one that you don't have to shoulder the weapon.

Slug o' Now I cant say you are so smart. God, you putting up the AR-50 and keeping the BOHICA!!!! Well that is just about as dumb as a Fla boy trying to ice skate.

Sorry no love loss from me to BOHICA.

Pull that AR off of EE and put up the BOHICA. Bet some fool come along and buy it in a heart beat.

Sorry to hear that Slug-O. Did you shoot up all of that ammo or do you have some left over. Not ask for myself or anyone else for that matter. I just remember this past spring that skid of ammo you landed. Was a lot of ammo in my book. Dont know what the future holds. But I hope you mend and get back into the 50 shooting. Just buy a heavy rifle with good brake and then a good recoil pad and then come back and start shooting again. I dont know what I would do if I was told I could never shoot again.

But for now my friend, I pray that you heal.
