Those who got their Barrett 99's package deals. I need to know if you got the ammo with them OR were you told it is on Back Order?

I am still waiting for my ammo and I am getting really pissed. I sent Barrett a E-mail and was told it is not their problem. That they did not supply the ammo if the gun was bought through RSR. Then I find out that the gun came fronm them and not RSR....

I received the 80 rounds with my package.

My FFL just received a new package gun from RSR and they are no longer including they ammo as part of the package.

Your ar15 email keeps getting bounced.

Darin Prince actually manufactures the mono pod for Barrett.

You can check with Barrett, they may have them available.

If you need Darin’s info send me an email with an alternate return email address.

Got my 99-1 about 2 weeks ago and was told the ammo was on backorder. (80rds).
While we're talking about the package deals, anyone  know why some came with Leupold scopes and some came with Bushnell?

This is getting F-ed up. Now Barrett tells me I got a rifle that was only suppose to be sold to Law enforcement....Someone really dropped the ball on this in my area. I don't think any of us are going to see ammo according to Barrett.

I am going to tell them to give me my money back if this is the story I am getting. No matter how much I love the rifle and wanted to support Barrett...I think their integrity level has just diminished 10 fold IMHO...

Like is is going to Bankrupt them to stand behind the deals they made and get the ammo out

This rifle didn't go through RSR it was a direct buy from Barrett. Thats why I was suppose to get the ammo. If it went through RSR then I was told ammo wasn't being shipped. Thats when I went to Hunter Sports and was told it came direct from Barrett.

So I send a e-mail back to Barrett saying it was bought direct. Thats when they send me a letter back saying. All rifles shipped direct from them were for LAW ENFORCEMENT orders only.

That is why I wonder WTF is going on and I see problems from this whole deal.

At this point they could buy the rifle back from me for what I paid and I will save my money and get the McBro I was saving for from the start.
Or maybe get a Viper or a Cobb

Send it back and get a Viper and you will have plenty to buy AMAX instead.

The rifles with the Bushnell scopes were part of the original package deal

What about the ones that came with the Leopold scopes, were they sent from the factory like that

Mine has a luppy on it or had. I put a Night force on it and use the luppy on my AR10T now.

If it was supposed to be LE sales, it would have went straight to the department on their letterhead.

What features would make a single shot a LEO gun?

A lower-than-retail price

This just keeps getting better. Here is the last e-mail I got. I added the others from when I started asking about it.

Mr. Weinstein:
We do not have any ammunition in stock. As you must know, the US Army has
ordered all the .50 cal ammo in the country. We have thousands of rounds
backordered right now. I know it is frustrating and I am sorry, but there is
nothing we can do at this time.  Ammo is not going out with our guns right
now and has not for quite a few months. Your ammunition will be shipped when
we receive the stock.

I am sorry to keep asking but it is almost a month. Everyone I speak to on
the different web sites say they got their ammo with their guns. I cannot
understand it taking this long to produce ammo/

I'd just wait- you got them to say they WILL ship you the ammo when they get it in stock.    I don't think anything at this point will get them to change their position after what they have said.

I agree but at least it saves me from buying another Barrett.
