I beleive it is a T25 torx wrench. It is somewhere close to that.
Loosen the two side screws, turn it off counter clockwise as you face the brake. They aren'y torqued on too tight. But that is dependent on who assembled it. There might be few alignment shims behind the brake at the barrel shoulder, don't lose them, they help keep it aligned when install the brake. You might have to barely tap the left side of the brake to break it loose. Easy when you get it done. When you re-install the brake, tighten the two side screws to 90 in lbs. That is INCH lbs, . |

Thanks mine only has the one Torx screw and I see the directions say loosen two also. No big deal I needed to know which way to turn it Thanks for that. I am sure it will not have to come off for some time. Do you really think this is a necessary step right away say after about 100 or so rounds?

Naw. It's fine. You will probably see som carbon build up, but the .50 makes a lot of it.
 You have the newer style brake with the one screw on the bottom as opposed to the 2 side screws in the older guns. |
