The state arms looks real cool, a no BS looking rifle. Was wondering about replacement parts latter, I know nothing lasts forever but...
Sometimes I overthink things and the brain starts to hurt...

The original owner of the company,
Klaus Horstkamp, is deceased. The company has been sold by his family and is continuing under new ownership. AFAIK little has changed. I was honored to be able to go to his shop and watch
Mr. Horstkamp assemble some of my rifle. He then spent two hours giving me information about shooting/maintenance, etc. This was in August 2001, and he died December 2001.
Perhaps a call to the company would answer your questions. If you want a highly accurate, mild recoiling rifle, you cannot beat a
Rebel. In October, at
Gunstock, we were able to put all shots fired by my wife and I within the ten or x-ring at 1000 yards--with an $80 Trashco scope and Talon ammo from
Ammoman.
John Tillman (check his full-page resume on the TIGER Valley web page) asked to shoot the rifle, took several shots, and said it "will be a tack driver with some glass on it." The
State Arms rifles don't get the glory of some others, but they shoot with any of them. We have had two ten y/o children shoot the rifle, and many women, and all have come away with a huge grin. The recoil is about 2/3 of a .308. The price you pay for that is ungodly muzzle blast, which is easily handled with an explanation to newbies, and double hearing protection--plugs and muffs. The rifle is a joy to shoot. There is just something about unleashing 13,000+ foot pounds of energy with each shot. It is not like shooting any other kind of firearm.
