Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bore guides and cleaning

How is everyone cleaning their SCARs? I see that Sinclair has aSCAR 16 Bore Guide. I have used bore guides in the past, and I'm not convinced of their need.  I wonder about the plastic edges scuffing up the chamber. Anyway, anybody using this, or having good luck without it?

I've never used it, but I wouldn't be worried about plastic scuffing a chrome lined chamber.
