The SABRE upper for my M11/9 came in today, was gonna do it this weekend...Couldn't wait

I thought the packaging was pretty good, but the op rod poked through.

Un-boxed

Marking the hole to drill.

Hole drilled

This ends the use of my MP-5K folding stock when I want to use my other uppers, it kind of sucks.  I really wish the adapter is the old type where you can still use the take down button, not this bolt on deal.

Finished

With my M16

Be sure to let us know how it runs and include video too if you can. It also looks better than my 3rd wife and sure as hell looks like a lot more fun.

Here's a video of myself and a friend shooting mine last weekend. It runs great, a lot of fun.

They weren't kidding when they said it was a tank and you should get a good bipod for it.

Considering I'll have only $3,800 invested in a full-auto 5.56 weapon (Mac & Sabre upper) I can put up with it being a little portly compared to the cost of a M-16.  Hopefully by the time that they come out with the Sabre for my Mac-11A1 it will be shaved down even more in weight compared to the Mac-11/9 Sabre, if not then that's ok as I really like the videos of everyone firing theirs and it being so controllable.

I've got you beat!  My M9/11 was $450 NIB back in 94, plus $200 tax of course.

Have not shot the SABRE yet, but I don't think SABRE will beat the M16.  I love that gun.

Got rid of the side rails and added a Vortex SPARC to it.  Didn't like the AR-15 BUS, it was too high for a proper cheek weld.
