Never owned an SBR.......looking to maybe go this route soon   love the light weight barrels........saw that BCM offers a couple flavors, 11.5 lightweight.....then they have the 11.5/12.5 govt profile   what do all the experts recommend  I am leaning towards the LW barrel set up......is a H buffer ok as well?

I have heard that the LW barrels could have more POI shift of you run a suppressor.  I don't think the weight difference is that much in the 11.5"

Well then, I would go with the LW barrel if you want the rifle to be as light as possible.  If you ever get a can in the future, you could always change barrels or get a second upper.

Since the only diff between LW and Gov profile is the length of barrel from the gas port to the muzzle, this isn't very much barrel on an 11.5. Personally I don't see the point. I think it is 2 oz or less.
