Would like to get the quietest suppressor for a 10/22.

Size and weight don't matter - just sound attenuation.

Any decent rimfire can will get you down to action noise of the 10/22.

Ammo selection is equally if not more important.

This question is not as objective as you might think. All the first line companies sell quiet ones.

Beyond that, assuming you're using subsonic ammo, your host will make a big difference.  Any semi auto will make more noise due to the working of the action and the amount varies from gun to gun. Bolt action rifle with low power rounds like CCI Quiet is the best on noise, but even pistols are pretty dang quiet.

Rugged Oculus.

Really in the 22 cans it's about the lack of first round pop.

Liberty Pinnacle II - In reality nearly any quality rimfire can using standard velocity ammo will sound great. I do love my Pinnacle but my other rimfire cans sound about the same on 16"-18" barrels.

My Mask sounds awesome on my 10/22 takedown. You wont be disappointed.

On top of the can, get a after market cushioned buffer for the bolt. It will quiet down the slap of the bolt.
As mentioned, any top end can will work very well on a 10/22.

I would say any decent non monocore will be okay with first round pop. My selection criteria was

non monocore
Stainless baffles
Tube is sealed off from the inside
    Click together baffles, etc
Easily disassembled
.17hmr rated
Able to be shot wet without ruining warranty

Ammo is important
  Standard velocity is good
Winchester 42gr max subsonic is a little quieter, plus heavier, and a hollowpoint
I need to try gemtech ammo

I used a kidd buffer to quiet the action

If you shoot it wet, the first round pop isn't as noticeable if you have a little

First round pop isn't as much of an issue on rifle hosts as it is on pistol hosts. Look at Dead Air's FRP Face-off - there's almost a 14 dB spread between the best and worst performing can and only 4 dB difference between the cans (2.4 if you don't count the Sparrow which could be considered an outlier).

Q's El Camino is getting a lot of good reviews - still pretty new though. Any experiences out there?

Too new to have any user reviews. Take "industry" reviews with a grain of salt until there are enough in the field to get a variety of user experiences. If you want tried and true, there's nothing wrong with a Spectre II, Mask or Element 2.

Anecdotally, one of my recent rimfire purchases that garnered good industry reviews turned out to be a total turd with lots of first round pop (when reviews claimed there were none).

I've got a friend with one, he says it's pretty quiet, the blast baffle to me seems like it would be a pain to clean, but he says it's not.  He's an 02/07 and it's a demo can.

OP

I have a lot of 22 cans, I currently run between the sparrow and element. I had the gemtech oasis-r but its filled up and accuracy sucks.

I think its tie between the two.
I usually run the sparrow more on the rifle because the element gest used on the pistols a lot more.

Gemtech MIST 22, on a PWS Summit Rifle, Gemtech 22 Ammo, spooky quiet and will make you think you had a light strike when it fires. Quietest 22 setup I've ever personally fired.

No arguments from me on that - although it is stretching things a bit if OP's intention is a standard semi-auto 10/22 action.

Was this your handiwork, Joey?

Have:

AAC Aviator 2
Dead Air Mask
Hunterstown Guardian 22
(2) Gemtech GM 22's
Gemtech Outback II
Tactical Innovations TAC65

Between those the TAC65 is the "quietest" on my 10/22's right now. Haven't had much time with the Mask yet.

Every suppressed 10/22 owner needs to have this on their rifle. Now you can swap between semi auto or single shot for super quiet work. I love mine and have it on all of my 10/22s.

Colossic bolt stop

I guess you could use a magnet and stick it on the barrel when not firing. I prefer to be able to swap almost immediately and keep my rate of fire in single shot faster with the collosic. To each his own though.

How does the collosic lock in single or semi. I saw the roll pin on their site. Is it just pinch together and push the pin or what?  It looks like a neat idea if you need to be completely quiet ie in town, etc.  I don't know how much I would use it though. The action cycling isn't that loud on mine after a little polish job and a kidd buffer.  I do wish there was a way to have an o ring machined into the bolt or breech face to stop that steel on steel as it closes though. The collosic would be nice with cci quiet ammo.  It sometimes half eject the spent brass. It would be nicer to just cycle the action instead of clear then cycle, but for $60....  If I shot quiets more I would just get the volquartsen firefly bolt.
