I have a co-worker that is selling off a collection of firearms from his dad.  He has some NFA items registered to an LLC which he is a part of.  I'm looking at purchasing the SiCo Omega that he has currently.  Now I know you can get them for roughly $850 new, what would be a safe price be for it assuming it has everything it would new.  I am thinking roughly $700 and then the additional $200 for the stamp to transfer it over to me...

Let me know if this would be a fair offer...

I have a couple of Omegas, used but not abused, and if I were able to get $600 or so I think I'd have done well.

Pristine, nib condition might be $700 ish I think.

My two cents! Worth what you paid for it.

850 new?
I haven't looked in a while but under $775 should be doable on any major holiday.
I'd offer $550

I'd say $700 is high for a used Omega unless he is willing to add you to the LLC so that you can lawfully use it while you wait for the transfer to be approved. If you aren't able to be added to the LLC, I wouldn't pay more than 60% of current dealer retail pricing. The used market is tough and you are possibly his only customer without alot of extra effort on his part.

Also look in the box to be sure you're getting everything.
It should come from the factory with an ASR muzzle brake and adapter mount, plus a fixed 5/8-24 direct thread mount.
If new, it should be bright and shiny inside.  One shot fired drops the value faster than a new car.

Black Friday prices were around $750. Add in a $50 transfer and you're at around $800 new.

Obviously the value of the suppressor is what you're willing to pay, but $700 would be out of my ball park. I might consider $600 and that would be if (1) I was added to the trust so that I could use the suppressor while the transfer was effected. You guys can figure out what clauses to add if you somehow ended up being denied and (2) the suppressor would have to be pristine, not abused and have to come with all accessories (are they still giving a mount for registering the Omega?).

I haven't offered anything yet.  I have not even seen the suppressor yet and don't know what all he has for it.  I think they would be willing to add me to the LLC as I have been a large help to selling most of their guns and getting the word out.

I will see what it all comes with and Go from there but good to know I'm on the right track and could go lower.

I currently see them at Capital Armory for $850 brand new. So that's what I was referencing.

Is buying the LLC an option?

EDIT: Forgot we were discussing the Omega! The buy one get one is for the Hybrid only!
Capitol Armory isn't the current low price as they are offering it as a buy one get one package promotion. Buy a Hybrid and get a Spectre II or Cyclone free (still have to pay tax stamps for each).

I will ask and see, I know there were a lot of other items on the LLC as well so probably not...

I think they would let me on the LLC during the transfer time though.  Depending on what they have for it I will probably offer between $500-$650.  for me to offer $650 it would have to have everything it would new and be in like new condition.

Also can you send links for the current sales for these so that I can show them when we are discussing price?

I have seen omegas --new-- for $700 at least once a year for the last two years.  I would not give over $500 for a used one

He also has an Osprey 45, what would be a reasonable price for that?  I'm seeing them on Gunbroker for like $500-$550 new without a piston, this one has at least one pistol for a 1/2x28 I believe.

When I read your OP, my first thought was "$650, and add me as a trustee" (I realize it's an LLC) I guess you'd be a corporate officer, or whatever the term is. If you can't be added to the LLC to take immediate possession, I would think $550-600.

Osprey 45's can be found for under $500 new with piston, at least once a year.

They're going to add me to the LLC while the transfer takes place, they are looking to get rid of hte llc eventually.

If you gave $1,000 for the pair, after being added to the LLC I think that'd be fair. The ability to "own them" now while you wait is huge part of that.

I'd do $1000 for both. Maybe $1100ish if you are friends.
