I'm putting together a 12.5 inch upper with an ASR brake for my (in jail) Omega. I was planning on using a PA/Seekins 12" 1.9"  id rail.

However, the rail is actually 12.5" which puts the ASR threads 1/2 way under the rail. Will that put the ASR lock ring completely under the rail and unusable?

Thanks guys

Yea, that won't work well.  The locking ring can require some torque to run.  You will want the locking ring out past the rail.  I tried it myself on a Spikes compressor clone (8" barrel, 9" rail) and I just couldn't lock and unlock the can.  Switched to a 7" rail and all is good.

Thanks guys! That's what I figured........guess I'll be looking for a rail that's actually 12". Any suggestions?
