You'd be wise to take a look at the Omega 9k. Pretty much built for what you are doing. I'm having a really hard time not buying one myself for MP5 and 300 blackout duty....

The 131db rating seems a little high. How is it in actual use? |

Everyone I've talked to has said the Omega 9k is awesome on 9mm carbines, MP5's and such.

Short and quiet are the same as cheap and high quality. Typically not possible. Small can = Small sound reduction. laws of physics. OP, try before you buy as the "rated" reductions might not be exactly what you are looking for in regards to how it sounds to you. |

The Osprey 45 on the MPX now is rated at 125 db. However, I know there are trade offs to a small can. |

I bought a Omega 9k specifically for my MPX. I also have a GHOST-M as another option/backup for the Omega.

Omega 9K sounds better than some (very very) highly recommended 45 suppressors on a select fire MP5. No question on it. It's shockingly good on sub guns and pistol caliber carbines.
On 300 BLK and pistols... as expected. Sub guns however, a totally different story. Absolutely worth looking at for an MPX. I did run an Osprey 45 on mine, now it's a tossup between a Ghost and a Omega 9k. One is going on the MPX, one on a Mac. Undecided who gets what yet. |

I bought a Gemtech GM45 due to cost under $500 I planned on a Octane K but I bought on cost and wanted another Gemtech such is life.

But at it's current price I rather go with something like the Obsidian and have some flexibility. |
