Looking to verify which mount needs to be used on my ar 15 w 1/2x28 threads. I am being told 3102-28. Not sure if 3102-28a is the same. And the guy at YHM wasn't that convincing.

Either will work. I think the A was just the revision from the ugly ribbed version to the newer style.

You have several options...
1. YHM-4302-MB-28A (1/2-28 LT muzzle brake) 2. YHM-4302-28 (1/2-28 LT flash hider) 3. YHM-3102-28A (1/2-28 5.56 flash hider) 4. YHM-5M2-QD (1/2-28 5.56 muzzle brake) The LT and 5.56 mounts are the same size, only the bore is different. For a 1/2-28 5.56 host, any of the four work just fine. |

Notice they're the same...except for the bore: 
As opposed to two LT mounts, one threaded 1/2-28 and the other 5/8-24...same bore, different thread pitch: 
For my 5.56 hosts, I just buy whichever one I find the best deal on.

YHM-3102-28A has been ordered!
Thank you for the help gents. I had my cans in hand in 3 months. Due to the fast turn around, my 308 bolt gun is currently at the shop being fit to a new stock. I will post pics asap. Bev
