I'm getting a 8.5"barrel for a  300 blackout build.  I have a QD YHM 1.5" outside diameter can coming.  I want to use a rifle length free float rail to cover all the suppressor except for about the last 3 inches.  At least I hope that is enough to take the can on and off by.

What rail are you guys using to cover the barrel and suppressor?  Is there a place listing the ID of rails that have a barrel nut large enough to let the tube go over a low profile gas block?

I use a samson evolution over my tirant 9 but it's only 1.36 dia.

I can't remove my YHM .30 cal QD can without using 2 hands and I'm not a small guy. My can is also less than a year old and has only been removed a handful of times so maybe it's not "broken in"?

I just ordered this set up for my Saker.  Aero 12" MLok rail.  I'll be using a 8" .300blk barrel.

1.8" inside diameter fits most muzzle devices and 1.5" suppressors.

But you need this upper to work with the rail.

Seekins Bar or MCSR is what you want...

Yhm with a Liberty Mystic.  I used a specter length on a 4 inch 9mm barrel. I have 2 inches sticking out.

My Spikes 9" BAR rail with YHM phantom and 7.5" barrel. Its actually a really fun little set up. Personally I like smaller rails though so I prefer the KAC URX 3.1 and just have the can outside the rail system.

Sorry only photo I could find, I'm traveling right now.

I have a 12" YHM on mine.  It is what I had from another build when I converted over.

MCSR v2 is a very nice rail IMO.  I use on my 300BO and the quality is top notch.   I'd put one on everything I own if I had the money.

Danel Defense MFR 12.0
1.61 ID so it looks monolithic.

Apex Gator grip is an option, but they're a little pricey.

Mine was inspired by this build.

Odin Works rails are 1.6" so they would work too. But the Seekins is 1.8 a little more room

Octane 9 HD 2 -- it's a dedicated subsonic 300 BLK upper.

So an octane is 1.375" and a Ti-rant is 1.5".

Fuck my life

Yeah, that's a bummer because the ALG rails are really nice and a great value IMO.  That upper instantly became my favorite upper to shoot because it is so damn lightweight.  The Octane 9 HD (I actually have 2 of them, the other is on a G19) has turned out to be a really great can in general.
