The difference is about 3-5dB - barely noticeable at the human ear. |

The downside isn't the noise, its the extra 2-3 inches of length.

In any case the difference is about 1.5" from full size to full size and more if you like mini cans like I do.
Point is, people should think long and hard about whether try NEED a 30 caliber can before they settle on this approach. My 762K is longer than the .300BLK barrel it would go on. |

Full-size 5.56 to full-size .308 is more apt, hence my M42K/SDN6, Phantom 5.56/Phantom 7.62, etc. I think he was more stating for the same DB reduction of a 5.56 can vs 5.56 through a 7.62 can, you can get away with the Mini sizes in regards to them being the same db level. |
