I am going to have my CMMG barrel cut to 4.5" and add a 7" free float tube.  I am wondering if the rear endcap comes off when taking my Spectre II off how will I get it off without marring it?

Anyone with experience please chime in.

You could try locking the cap to the can and using just the one cap to take down... Or don't put the can under the hand guard. Looks cool in Internet pictures works  stupid in real life. This is the type of thing people do about once until they have an issue.

Love it when I see rifle cans like that :D

I don't think the pistol handguards are long enough to be comfortable.  I don't really care about the looks but I don't want to be cramped up.  A carbine length would work in this regard.

I just make sure to thread my endcap on tightly and maybe use a little anti-sieze on the barrel threads.
