I have a 1911 already that I will get a threaded barrel for.

I'd like a second host....well, just because.

I'm having a hard time deciding, though.

I will say that I do not like Sigs.  I had and sold a Sig P220 recently.  I'm an M&P guy so I might just end up with an M&P45.  Unless, that is, someone has a sweet idea that I've overlooked.

Go!

There was a dealer advertising an M&P with both a threaded and a regular barrel on gunbroker last week for $563.  I believe it didn't sell and they haven't relisted it.  IM me if you want their info.

Edited for bad grammar...

Id get the fixed barrel spacer and suppress a rifle of some sort.  44special, 38 special, 9mm, 45acp.  You got the pistol covered.......rifles are more fun.

I went with a USP Tactical and FNP Tactical.  I prefer the FNP because it has a slightly smaller grip and holds more rounds.  Sold the USP, but they do make an awesome host.

I went the opposite of the gent above.  I have large hands, went with the USP Tactical 45.  Even added a hogue hand all.  Love it... so much in fact that I got the HK 9MMSD (HK9MM Tactical) and 9Osprey.  I think it's a great way to go.  Love the 12+1 capacity.

I can say the FNP45T with the low set red dot is mighty tempting though.

Awesome, thanks Scott!

I'm gonna head to the fun shop and look at some USP45s and some other stuff.

I think the M&P45 is in the lead, though.

My FN P-45 Tactical is suppressor ready and is a stellar pistol....best factory trigger I've ever seen.

44special through this, with your suppressor, will put a smile on your face.

Sanman, who would you recommend to thread a lever action?

Either grizzly customs or Lee Hadaway.  There are others, just cant think of any.  I used Lee for my 357/38.  If you can get the barrel out of your receiver than send it to adco or something.  The magazine tube is pretty simple to cut.  The barrel bands etc are a little more involved if they require fitting.

The Marlin is a pretty sweet idea, no doubt.

I have a m&p 45 threaded kit as a host for my blackside. It is an awesome host. I am saving my pennies for a fnp tactical, though..

My 45 Osprey is sitting at my SOT as I type this.

My hosts are a Sig P220 and I just picked up a FN FNP 45 Tactical for a second host. I looked at the USP 45 Tactical and found it too big for my hands.
Plus the barrel thread was different than the P220. The FNP's barrel thread was the same as the Sig's, so only one piston is required to use the Osprey
on either host. Thus saving the cost of the 2nd piston.

I never knew S&W had a threaded barrel 45, but then I'm not a fan of their auto loading pistols.

On edit: I forgot to add that I have a Trijicon RMR RM07 sight coming for the FNP. The gun is factory milled and threaded to accept the sight.

That looks pretty sexy, but I know that trigger pull would eat my face again

The SIG trigger pull took some getting used to, I will be first to admit that. Now it feels like home and other triggers seem weird

That is why I went with Sig's P220 in SAO   Or in non Sig speak, Single Action Only

Best trigger out the box over any original 1911, plus the slide can be manipulated without disengaging the safety to load or unload the gun.
Carried "cocked and locked" as any 1911 is carried. Ambidextrous safety is standard factory issue.

The FNP 45 Tactical can also be carried "cocked and locked" if desired.

This....

I really need to get a threaded barrel for my 220 carry SAO.
