I've got a buddy out in Colorado whos in the market for a 10/22 suppressed barrel. I know nothing about the integrally suppressed options so I'm not really sure which direction to steer him as far as vendors, barrel life, how to clean, accuracy and other things of that nature so I'm looking for recommendations.

Which manufacturers offer suppressed barrels?
What is the expected life span of a barrel?
Can they be cleaned, or is it use it till its full then replace?
Is the accuracy equal to a factory barrel?

Any help would be appreciated!

When I jumped in the market for a .22LR suppressor, everybody and their brother talked me out of an integral suppressor, as the alternative would be used on many hosts. I love my Gemtech Outback II.

I think my friend is interested in the integral option due to the "concealability" of it. No one can readily identify it as a suppressed weapon.

I like my stainless integrally suppressed 10/22 barrel from SWR, but unfortunately I don't think SWR makes them any longer

YHM makes a integrally suppressed 10/22 barrel.  I haven't heard it or seen what it meters at, but if it works well..... it would be a good way to go as it is user serviceable.

Like others have voiced - you're better off with a muzzle suppressor that can be changed host to host.  If you're set on an integral, try to find one that you can clean as 22LR fouls suppressors quickly.
