Hi!
I'm considering picking up a lightweight can for my 7.62 precision rifle. I'm considering the pluses and minuses of all the lightweight cans available. I really dont want something that will turn my rifle into a brick, but obviously, I want minimal zero shift and at least decent sound suppression, with FRP being a factor.

Does anyone have any experiences they can relate in terms of sound suppression and zero shift on the Gemtech and SAS offering?
Thanks

Can you describe the host rifle for us?  e.g. barrel length, barrel profile, stock, glass, etc.

What will you mostly be doing with the rifle?

Yes it really, really does and yes he should.

kilroymcb, here's a thread I posted a little while back on the Sandstorm suppressor and my dealings with Gemtech.  I'm super happy with the can and I still can't believe how light it is.  If you decide to get one of the Sandstorm suppressors I think you'll be very happy with it.  Gemtech Sandstorm Thread

Hey there
I didnt realize you were in kentucky until just now.  What ranges do you shoot at, if you go to public ranges?  I might be interested in meeting up with you and seeing how that Sandstorm sounds in person.  I've got a Trident 9 and an AAC SPR/M4 if you'd care to try those out

I'm up near Ashland, KY and I go to Northeast Fish and Game when I'm not shooting at my place.  If you are near here I'd be glad to meet up and let you try out the Sandstorm.
