There is some debate about using a Ruger 10/22 or a bolt action rifle for the 22LR tests.  Here is the other thread link.

In my previous testing of quality 22LR silencers, the Ruger 10/22 with muzzle silencer will typically run around 114-115dB.  When I use my Mossberg 44US bolt action rifle,I usually get 110-112dB if the silencer does 114-115 on the Ruger.  

I will probably cut and thread my Russian Tula 78 bolt action rifle this week, and could use that gun for the tests if the poll goes that way.  I currently have a Ruger 10/22 with Tactical Innovations pre-threaded barrel that is 16.5 inches long.  

These and probably more 22LR silencers will be tested...

If you are truly testing the silencer, you need to eliminate action noise, IMO

Firing pins falling are rather loud too.

go bolt- eliminate as much extra noise as possible.

Maybe run the test as you planned with the 10/22.  At the very end, take the three "best" cans and test them on the bolt gun to verify the difference someone might hear if the action noise were eliminated.

Yes, they are; however, none of my semi-autos are as quiet as my loudest bolt gun.
