Who makes a good can in 9mm for a RRA 16" AR and how well would it work in a SBR in 9mm?
  Thanks for any help.

YHM 9mm QD Wraith. I use it on a 5" M16 and a MP5. They are full auto rated and a lifetime warr.

YHM also has an extra large 9mm qd for use on SBR ARs. If you're only using this on an AR, it may definitely be worth a look.

Well, there are some good 9mm cans on the market, and I can only comment on the one that I own.

I bought a SWR Trident 9, I run it on a 5" barreled AR SBR using the 3-lug mount.

I also run it on my Glock 17.

I have been more than happy with it on both platforms.

I have a Gem-Tech Trinity on my RRA 9MM AR15. It produces more back pressure, making your 9MM AR15 cycle sub sonic ammo better. I shot Fiocchi 158gr SubSonic ammo through my RRA 9MM AR15 and it would not cycle the gun untill I attached my Gem-tech Trinity. If I were to purchase another 9MM can. I would probably go with the SWR Trident 9. ARF.COMMer "bigcraig" let me shoot his suppressor a while back and I was impressed. I think they might be a little cheaper to. Below is a photo of my RRA LAR15 9MM SBR W/ Gem-Tech Trinity

I have a trinity also and love it. I am going to get a HTG Cycle 9 just for shits and giggles.

Can any or all of these be used with a Sig 226 as well?

Thanks for the replies. I have at this time no interest in FA, too much $. SBRs are alot of fun. Was thinking about 10 1/2 or 11 1/2 in upper and with a can would make a sweet rifle. We sometimes have short range 3gun matches and the 9mm would be a kick to shoot.
Will check out the cans.

In my opinion, if you are going sbr and intend to run a can, i'd go with a 5.5" upper.  When you get longer, 147g ammo isn't always subsonic.  Most are out of a 5.5" barrel though.

I have a gemtech trinity and an swr trident 9.  I like them both.  I use the trinity on my mp-5 sbr clone and i use the trident on my 9mm oly ar sbr.  Oh, i use them on my glocks too.

That is why you reload 147gr, friend!   I have a few hundred rounds of my "special mix" for subsonic out of a 16" barrel.  Cycles the weapon fine (unsupressed) although I haven't gotten my trinity yet to see how that affects it.   Oh, and it's helluva cheap too, about 35% the cost of buying out of a store.
