I am trying to find some info on cast lower receivers.
Specifically if PWA ever used them and how do you tell the difference.

I have never seen a cast PWA lower. I keep hearing that they existed but haven't talked with anyone who has one. A cast receiver will have a very thin casting line on the front of the mag well and at the back, above the pistol grip tang. A forged receiver will usually have a much thicker line in these same places.

Cast receivers usually have raised lettering on the side, except for the serial number. Forged lowers usually have punched or rollled and indented lettering on the sides.

Cast lowers also have a different texture to them from forged.
