I was wondering how long until a post like this would show up, but I was betting on post number 3. Can someone please explain to me why you would post something like this? If you don't want anybody to know what your collection consists of, why wouldn't you just refrain from posting to this thread instead of posting something like the above that everybody knows is comming and nobody cares to read? |
You forgot to tell us the serial numbers.
How about your address too? |
OK I'll bite-what do you mean by this? I admit I thought the same thing when I saw the "complete list" hearing. But how is someone going to figure out who "Gunplay" the internet guy is and where he lives and steal all his guns? I admit I have posted my hometown and you could probably guess my profession, but still figuring out who I am and coming to steal my beloved guns? I am as paranoid as the next guy (more maybe) but is this any more risky than the guys who post pictures of their guns? Of course were I to become an evil gun thief this guy does have some REALLY cool stuff ... |
I don't think the guys flying the black helicopters are perusing these boards in order to compile a secret database of screen names and inventories. Everybody slowly back away from the conspiracy table.
If somebody wants to fly half-way across country in order to steal these guns, they can die trying. Anyway, a thief using this logic could pick any person on this board to rob and might find valuable weapons at any house. I'll risk it. Here's my short list: Colt Comp Hbar II Mak 90 SKS Benelli Nova 12 ga. Glock 26 9mm Glock 22 .40 Ruger Vaquero 45lc Colt 1991 Springfield 1911A1 S&W 686 Colt Gold Cup 38 special mid-range (yes 38 special, not a 38 super) Bersa 380 Ruger P89 Ruger 22/45 |
GE mini-gun
30 cal door mount HK MP5 Kurz Oh, this is not a wish list? |
Appearently Gunplay has an "arsenal" and maybe even a "cache" of ammo too! Quick call the ATF, he has more than a "decent" person should have.

Sheesh guys, whats the big deal. Here is my list:
Pre Ban Pump Master 760 .177 Cal. $20 Simmons Long Range Tactical Scope and Rings |
I had no idea how many people here have a fear of disclosing what guns they collect.
No one is keeping a big list of who has what based on Internet posting! If there is a big list it is being electronically done when the "background check" occurs. So feel free to post, and only buy from a privet party in back allies. Laws are and will be the problem, not grand government conspiracy. |
Look out for this technique of mispelling and poor grammar to gain your confidence and lower your guard.
Go back to review hg112's post. |
Jesus, sorry I asked. How can this hobby be fun for you if you live in such fear?
Gunplay (college student who like firearms or BATF snoop I guess we will never know.) |
If you don't think the FBI/ATF/DOJ or any other alphabet gang is monitoring gun web sites then you are a moron. I have first hand proof of this when I went to the Cal DOJ hearing on SB23 in Feb 2000. When asked why so many security personnel for such a small hearing the Head of the DOJ stated "We expected a lot higher turn out based on the high volume of discussion on SB23 on various Internet Sites".
So it isn't about people trying to steal your weapons, it about the alphabet gang gathering info to use against you. Of course I could be wrong.....and Randy Weaver's wife is probably still alive. Sgtar15 |
Why don't you ask, "what kind of guns do you collect" or "What are your favorite guns that you own"
Your posts sounds like some kinda gun registration scheme. |
Guns??? Who, me???
I'm afraid of those evil, nasty black rifles... |
I find it hard to believe a college student has all these. Unless your dad bought them all for you. Or maybe most of them are his, you just have access to them. I sure the hell did'nt have a $1000 dollars here and there to drop on a AR's when I was in college. No flame intended.
None taken, I recently bought a rental property and am using the rent I collect to pay the mortgage, taxes, etc. I took out a line of credit on the house to pay for all the guns and accessories. I buy the class 3 stuff through a corp. I set up in Nevada. They are being all stored there, along with most of my guns (I only have 3 here in CA). The class 3 stuff I can justify as an investment, as for the other guns that’s just my hobby.
Wow, Gunplay. It is a great list. All I have is an AR 15. I'm saving money for another AR. Just don't know when. How about selling one to me? |
Again sorry I asked. I had no idea it would be taken this way.
lol, people around here geta bit paraniod. not me, i have an 870 anda remington 597....
I'm not worried about the ATF seeing a list of my stuff; I've posted enough pictures of things I own on enough boards to document my collection pretty well.
But damn, if my wife ever saw a list of what I own she would realize that they all aren't the same 5 guns. And that would be far worse than an ATF no-knock |
While everyone is at this, please DO put down the serial numbers and all acessories and the conditon (99%etc) and stash this list in a safe deposit box away from your location, preferably.
In case of fire, theft, you will have this updated list for the insurance company and/or police report. Without this information, you will be unable to take full advantage of any UNUSUAL situation that may/can occur. |
How many agents have we identified here? Agents, agenda, agency, Ya panimayoo!
I guess I was a bit harsh, I am pretty paranoid by nature. I don't see how posting what guns you have would really do you much harm, especially since you have to fill out the paperwork to buy them ( and if you think the Gov. really isn't creating a database of names and guns from those documents, you aren't paranoid enough).
I have a naked Eagle Arms lower. |
I'm a college student, senior right now. I've built about 2 AR15's, owned 3. I have a small collectionn of preban assault pistols.
I aquire my guns either through trading or finding really sweet deals. Assault pistols sometimes get a really low prices up in the boonies, most of the old guys go more for hunting rifles. Of course with all these cool guns, I sit here and eat Ramen noodles have I also am really good friends with the owners of a lot of gun shops in the area, they seem to like it when young, patriotic guys get into the business. When I graduate I'm thinking of taking some gunsmith classes and get into that. Alot of the good gunsmiths are putting on the ages. We need more younger, resposible folks... -Sam |

Shotguns
Rifles Pistols Ya said complete....that covers all of them.... |
I bought all of my collection in college, while working in a gun store and a law firm. Guess how I funded the guns? Dad? HAHAHA! I sold him more guns, so he was poorer than me! |

Remington 870 Express Super Magnum, tac'd out.
Mauser 98 Ruger 10/22 Don't laugh, I used to own about 15. Need for money and not wanting perfectly good hardware to be laying around for 6-10 years collecting dust made me sell most of my toys. A small list of things which I have owned: Olympic Arms Ultramatch upper on Colt preban lower. Remington PSS .300win. Remington Sendero 300win. Ruger Mk II .22 pistola Ruger Mk II M77 .270 all weather Bushmaster 16" A3 with Aimpoint Comp ML2 Springfield Armory M1A Ruger Mini-14 Beretta 92FS Glock 17 Dan Wesson .44 mag Go ahead, call me stupid... |

Jeez, give the guy a break! He had no idea the DOJ/ATF/KKK/etc. would be compiling a list of "weapons to seize later". Anyway, here are mine, come and getum boyz.

I think you folks might want to reread this once again. It might be more truthful than you want to deal with. You computer information is easily accessed and tracked by anyone. (cookies, port probes etc.) While this info might not be dangerous for you now. If you were involved in a shooting or maybe a friend turns out to be involved in something questionable. This info could be turned around to be used against you. I think any agency who is (looking) in is really just doing there job. But again any info can be turned around and used against you. I love my firewall and I don't like chocolate-chip cookies! Tin-Foil Hat Off and Paranoia mode set to patrol status. |

I'd love to get some pictures of them but I don't have a digital camera and most of the collection (accept for 3 guns, 870 marine, Glock 27, and Ruger P97) is in Nevada. I won't be able to get out there till the summer when school is out. Maybe I'll have a camera by then. Can anyone recommend a good one?
