Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help! CAR 9mm Question

Need some guidance . . .I've got an opportunity to purchase a used (but in excellent condition) Colt CAR 9mm pre-ban carbine. It has not been modified and is in original condition. It comes with three 30 round Colt mags and three 20 round Colt mags. I know the owner and have shot the rifle. It works flawlessly.

Now . . .what is it worth? What should I offer for the rifle.

It's worth at least $1500, and probably more like $1800-2000 with the mags (factory 32-round mags run at least $100 each).

Thanks Troy! The seller wants under $1500 for the carbine with all six mags . . .I guess I'd be nuts to walk pass this purchase.

Ditto what TROY said.  I bought mine for $1400, NIB with (2) Colt 20rnd mags.  The extra mags make it a very good deal @ $1500.
