I had heard some slight noise about an upper but not a whole new rifle.....

I'm sure I won't need one.

Bar-none, that's the sexiest weapon I've ever seen! Tag's probably about $2,000 though

I think the SR-47 is a great idea if Knights can get the thing in production. I was never sold on the Colt 7.62x39 rifle due to the lack of a suitable hi-cap magazine. I wouldn't mind buying one of these in a year or so.

Since the USSR breakup, Ruskie ammo has come a long way...   We are their number one customer now...   Still can't get it to cycle properly, thru my AR-15s but the wolf 223rem copper jacket stuff is pretty darned accurate..   Same as Q2121a as far as accuracy...   I'll buy one...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Combine the accuracy of an AR-15 with the knock down power of 7.62x39 mm Russian? I can have an AR but go deer hunting with it?!?

AWESOME! Dammit, I want it NOW!

The biggest plus in my mind though is the fact that it accepts AK-47 magazines.

It's not like the 7.63x39 was never available in a AR package.......Besides the obvious Mag issue, why the big wood over the SR-47?

Because you can get 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 Wolf ammo for $85, verses 1000 rounds of Q3131A IMI for $180. Assuming that Wolk will work fine in that rifle of course, 1 MOA potential with crappy ammo is quite an achievement. Think about it. This gun would make a great deer rifle!

That was not really my point.
Yes. But, the 7.63x39 Wolf ammo is gonna cost the same whether is is intended for the 7.69x39 AR or the SR-47. I'm comparing rifles, not cartidges.

Hmm, I don't get it.  Doesn't look that great, with the AR tolerances and shit it won't be as good as a AK reliability wise.  And do the mags function 100%?  Looks kinda bastardized, won't be cheap either.

I think a VEPR or something would be better all around if you want a 7.62x39 weapon...

I agree with what you and Boomholzer said. The only problem is, a VEPR-II weighs over 9 lbs courtesy of the reinforced RPK receiver. We'll just have to wait and see Knight pulls through with a reliable system. I think it will have to be good, because they're pushing this on Spec Ops where things MUST work.
